1 Kings 5:18 “The craftsmen of Solomon and Hiram and the men of Byblos cut and prepared the timber and stone for the building of the temple.”

The parts of the Temple were carefully planned and done off site. Apparently, the parts fit together perfectly. This effort involved 180,000 workers plus supervision. This was God’s planning given to Solomon.

Principle: A great finished product requires good planning and tight quality assurance.

The European Airbus A380 is an example of what not to do. The airbus, with a 555-passenger capacity, was supposed to rule the sky. But production problems caused delays and cancellations in 2007. One thing is for sure, it was one of the most complicated manufacturing processes in the modern aviation world. The wings were made in Britain, the tail assembly made in Spain, the nose section was made in France, and made the center fuselage was made in Germany. Somehow, the first airplanes fit together perfectly — except for the wiring harnesses, which came up short. This caused a delay of the aircraft, which cost six billion dollars.

Bad planning and poor-quality assurance are a costly combination for companies of any size.

Have quality controls in place in this “just in time” era.

God is a god of plans and precision. Look at His creation through a microscope or a telescope and you’ll see how everything works and fits together perfectly.

We are a shadow of His divine perfection. It is wise to include Him in our plans and invite Him to plan our day and oversee our production.
